Security forces killed three militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Data Khel area of North Waziristan, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Friday. The operation that was performed on the night of 6-7. February, follow -up reports followed the presence of militants in the region.
The military’s media wing stated that during surgery troops successfully targeted the location of militants, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists. The militants allegedly tried to escape while they were disguised in Burqas.
The deceased terrorists were found in possession of weapons and ammunition. According to ISPR, they were involved in several terrorist activities in the region. After surgery, there is currently a sanitization mission to eliminate remaining threats in the area.
