Security forces kill two militants after mastung -attacks, says Balochistan Govt

A 16-year-old boy was killed and at least seven civilians were wounded on Tuesday in a terrorist attack on a bank, the Tehsil office and other administrative buildings in the Mastung district of Balochistan.

At least two suspected terrorists were killed and three others were injured when the security forces immediately jumped into action.

According to spokesman for the Balochistan government Shahid Rind, militants associated with Fitna al-Hindustan launched an armed attack on a bank, the district office and other administrative buildings.

In response to the attack, security forces, including Frontier Corps (FC), Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Levies closed by the site and surrounded the terrorists, killed at least two militants and injured three others in the exchange of fire.

The Balochistan Government confirmed that extensive approval operation is currently underway to neutralize the remaining threats. “The rapid response from security forces effectively prevented further injuries,” the spokesman wrote at X.

He added that operations are being carried out on an intelligence basis to ensure the arrest of remaining militants and protect civilian life.

There is also an effort to locate and understand those who facilitate attackers.
