Security forces killed six militants in Karak IBO: ISPR

Six terrorists were killed on Friday in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) performed by security forces in the Karak District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing announced.

In a statement, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that the operation was launched after reports of the presence of “Khwarij”, an expression used to refer to extremist militants.

The security forces engaged the location of militants, resulting in deaths for six terrorists, according to ISPR.

The military added that the operation was part of the ongoing efforts to eliminate the remaining terror elements in the region. “The sanitization operation continues to ensure that the area is cleared for any remaining threats,” the statement reads.

ISPR further emphasized that the victims of the soldiers involved in the operation strengthen Pakistan’s obligation to free the country of terrorism and ensure peace and stability.
