A security guard was killed in a firing event by motorcycle riders in Karachi’s Pechs Society area. According to a statement from the Karachi Police spokesman, the incident in Block 2 of Pechs, on Street 4, where armed motorcyclists opened fire, resulting in the death of the 38-year-old Mirza Sajid Baig.
His body was transported to Jinnah Hospital for examination after Mortem.
The victim, resident of the Lines area, worked as a private security guard for a security company. At night to the incident, he performed his duties in the area as the attackers opened fire and fled from the stage.
Local residents reported that the shooting was taking place around the Sehri time as society was busy preparing for Sehri. They discovered Sajid’s body covered with blood shortly after hearing the shot.
Residents also mentioned that the area had seen an increase in street crimes and vehicle battery averages in recent months.
Despite several requests for the Ferozabad police to increase police patrols in the area, no action was taken.
However, they noticed that after Sajid began working as a security guard, crimes in the area had fallen.
Police regained three used cabinets of a .30 drilling gun from the crime scene. The crime scene arrived at the site of collecting evidence and the victim’s family has been notified.
In another incident, a person was wounded in a shooting on Superhighway near DHA 9, Gadap City. According to police, the 69 -year -old Zahid Hussain was wounded during a robbery.
The victim was taken to Fatima Bai Hospital via an Edhi ambulance. Police are investigating the case.
