The competition has seen a significant presence of protesters due to the participation of transient athlete AB Hernandez from the Jurupa Valley High School competing in the girls Langehopp, High Hoppe and triple jumps. The athlete finished in first place in all three events during the preliminary round Friday night. On Saturday, Hernandez competes in the final round and seems to take all three state titles.
Witnesses told Pakinomist Digital that there were more than 50 protesters in the competition on Friday, many planning to return to Saturday to the final.
Women’s Athlet Activists held a protest early Saturday morning, organized by California Family Council Outreach Director Sophia Lorey.
During Friday’s event, a plane flew over the stadium with a banner saying, “No boys in girls’ sports!”
Hernandez dominated girls’ autumn period in the spring and attracted national attention in recent weeks when President Donald Trump called the state to let it happen and threatened federal financing cuts if it continues.

Then, on Wednesday, the Ministry of Justice announced that it would start a study by California Interscholastic Federation and California’s law lawyer Rob Bonta over the state’s law, giving biologically male trans athletes the opportunity to compete with girls and women.
CIF announced a few rule changes on Tuesday and Wednesday in response to setbacks, expanding the size of the competitor pool and even awarding medals to any “biologically female” athlete displaced by a transgender athlete at the meeting.
