- Sonic Racing: Crossworlds Switch 2 Physical Release arrives in 2026
- The full game will be included on the cartridge, apparently evasive Nintendo’s divisive game key card system
- A trailer to customize cars has also been published to YouTube
Some good news from Sega today as the publisher confirmed that the physical Nintendo Switch 2 version of Sonic Racing: Crossworlds Want the full game on the cartridge.
If you are unsure why it is positive, it means that Sega is apparently sidest-up Nintendo’s controversial (and honestly extremely meaningless) game-key card system that effectively turns a game into a glorified digital download.
Advertised via a press -e -mail received by Techradar Gaming, unfortunately you will have to wait a little longer for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds’ Physical release, as is currently set to launch in “the beginning of 2026.” A Switch 2 upgrade package will also be made available to those who buy the original Switch version, as all “Content and progress is transferred to Nintendo Switch 2.”
