ISLAMABAD:
The Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination on Tuesday conducted a detailed consideration of a private member’s bill to ban the use of vape.
Members appreciated the intent and effort behind the proposed legislation – The Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (Regulation) Bill, 2025 – and held an in-depth discussion on its various provisions.
The ministry briefed the committee on objections from stakeholders and proposed a complete ban on the use of vapes, citing concerns that such devices could facilitate drug intoxication.
