Serena Williams has broken her silence over the rumors of her throwing shade on ex Drake during the Super Bowl performance with Kendrick Lamar.
For those who did not realize, the tennis player made a surprising appearance in the Super Bowl with Kendrick when he was playing Not like us, A Drake Diss -track.
Talking with Time Magazine, Serena was questioned whether she really threw shadow against the rapper during a surprising appearance with Lamar.
Serena clarified and said, “Definitely not.” She continued to add that she “would never do it.”
Serena continued to express her sadness over the fact that people actually thought she was mocking Drake. “
“I respect how they could. Of course, it can see how someone would believe it. But definitely not. I’ve never had negative feelings towards him. We’ve known him for so many years,” Serena added.
Furthermore, Serena also surprised with a crip -gang trip, which was a nod at the controversy in 2012 with her who made the trip after beating Maria Sharapova to win, and critics claimed it was associated with gangs.
