- ServiceNow will offer 40-70% discount on software to the US government
- Its AI platform promises 30% better efficiency across workflows
- The White House is already using ServiceNow tools
ServiceNow has joined the list of tech companies that offer the US government fierce discounts on its software to both support federal savings and land a major deal at the same time.
A message from the General Services Administration (GSA) noted that the efficiency of the workflow was promised up to 30%, was promised via the ServiceTow AI platform, but the federal discounts are set to be even greater.
Cloud Computing Company offers up to 70% discount on upgrades to a new Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Pro and Pro Plus bundle, or up to 40% discount on upgrades to an independent version of ITSM Pro.
GSA Safe even more software discounts
GSA -functioning administrator Michael Rigas welcomed the discount, which is in line with the White House AI Push: “Trump administration is obliged to exploit the power of AI to transform government operations and improve citizen services, ensuring that we operate with efficiency and agility while exploiting innovative technology.”
ServiceNow has also promised to honor the discounts for three years, until September 2028, with a single upgrade option available for one year.
The deal does not serve as an effort to entice the US government to migrate – ServiceNow AI products already handle more than 200 million government tasks annually.
Analysts also estimate that 10% of Service’s revenue comes from the public sector – ensuring a larger agreement with the White House can increase growth here.
“Our AI platform and solutions will help any federal agency consolidate the past, strengthen security and deliver better results for the American people,” added ServiceTow CEO Bill McDermott.
Other short-term discounts under the Onegov-Centralized IT purchasing scheme have secured the US governments billions in savings, including a recently announced multi-product agreement from Microsoft.
Looking further, it is unclear what happens when the discount conditions end – be it the renegotiation of discounts or a return to higher prices. Skeptics are also concerned that today’s huge discounts can lead to the Pricy supplier that later lock-in on the line.
