Security forces killed seven militants in two separate operations in Dera Ismail Khan district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.
According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Daraban area following reports of militant presence.
“During the operation, the security forces effectively targeted the hiding place of militants and killed four,” the statement says.
In another operation in the Madi area, another three militants were killed by security staff, Ice ADPR added.
Weapons and explosives were regained from the militants who were allegedly involved in several terrorist activities in the region.
Security forces continue to sweep the area for any remaining threats, the ISPR said, confirming their obligation to eradicate terrorism from the country.
