Several people were killed in an explosion in the Shahr-e-Naw area of the Afghan capital, Kabul, the Taliban’s interior ministry said on Monday.
“According to the preliminary reports, a number of people were killed and wounded,” Interior Ministry spokesman Abdul Mateen Qani told Reuters, adding that details would be released later.
The Shahr-e-Naw area is home to foreigners and is considered one of the safest areas in Kabul.
