- Severand’s Season 2 debuted with amazing viewing numbers
- It’s the first Apple TV Plus show that cracks Nielsen’s Top 10 since 2023
- Silo Also turn big to Apple’s streaming service in January
Full publication ahead: I have never seen Resignation. Shame, I know. But I am increasingly in the minority according to some seriously impressively new seing numbers to Severand’s Season 2showing how big a hit it has been for Apple TV Plus.
Media Analytics Company Nielsen (via The Hollywood Reporter) has just released its first set of streaming charts, since Adam Scott-Fronted, Memory Development Sci-Fi’s second season-hit screens, and crew Cupertino undoubtedly breaks the party’s poppers on the resulting data.
The newly released numbers covering the week of January 13 are the first to show up since Severance Season 2 debuted on Apple TV Plus Just days later on the 17th. The headline news from the said data is that the main trip drama has drawn Some of the highest viewing numbers for an original series in the streaming service’s five -year history.
Despite having such a short time frame to make Nielsen’s original view diagrams, Apple’s mega-hit managed to slip into the fourth castle in the top 10. An even more eye-catching number? It clocked up an impressive 600 million viewing minutes in the short period.
These figures are even more notable considering that it is reasonably rare for Apple TV Plus shows to sneak into Nielsen’s top 10 original location at all. There are a few warnings – the data is limited to US households and only includes TV -se, not phones or computers. Even if it’s only a limited snapshot, it still shows how good Resignation have done in the Netflix-dominated charts.
The last Apple TV Plus show to hit this big one in the Nielsen -streaming charts was Ted lasso season 3 Back in 2023 – possibly one of the worst collections of episodes I have ever committed my eyeballs. ResignationI thank you. Oh, and Ted and the rest of your Saccharine football players? In the event that there is ever another season of Lasso – unlikely when the ‘comedy’ ended on a rather final note – I hope AFC Richmond will be liquidated.

The latest Nielsen -Numbers bring more good news to Bigwigs on Apple TV Plus, which Resignation Was not the streaming service’s only big winner. The third week of January also stylish sci-fi drama Silo Crack Tithe on Nielsen Original charts.
It is noteworthy as this seems to be the first time that two Apple Originals appear in the same week of Neilson’s top 10 rankings (as noticed by, 9TO5MAC).
Remember that although Severance’s second season has had a stable start in terms of ratings, we are talking about Neilson’s original charts, not the overall ones who look at all TV shows.
Located in that context, the team at the fictional Lumon Industries and their accumulated 589 million viewing minutes look small fry at 1.5 billion minutes Squid game season 2 hit up Nielsen’s total streaming charts. Then Netflix’s South Korean smash hit has a much greater reach due to the platform it is on.
Still pointing these numbers not only for the enchanting appeal of ResignationBut Apple’s rising range among the best streaming services.
You can catch new episodes of Severand’s Season 2 Every Friday until the final will be released on March 21. It’s enough to say I’m starting the first season this weekend.
