San Francisco Giants may have fallen out of the race about the National League West Division Crown, but Jung Hoo Lee put a smile on the faces of the faces during a game against Tampa Bay Rays.

Lee was in the middle field when he asked a ball hit by Yandy Diaz. The ball drifted against the warning crush in right centers as Lee slipped to try to get the dive. The ball seemed to care for the glove and between his legs.

Somehow Lee was able to hold onto the ball in the awkward position for out.

“I don’t care what someone says. It’s the decade’s catch. Not the year of the year, not by the day, not in the week, not by the home country. The decade,” said NBC Sports Bay area commentator Duane Kuiper.

Kuiper’s partner, Mike Krukow, agreed.

San Francisco won the game, 7-1, and Lee’s play was all that is furious in the baseball world.

“The wind was pretty heavy and the ball reached a lot, so I went after the slide,” he told journalists via an interpreter after the game, according to mlb.com. “I caught it, but I felt it was going under my body, starting from my chest. It was a fun catch, definitely.”

Giants manager Bob Melvin said he was worried that Lee might have been injured on the play.

“I thought he was just going down,” he said. “I was worried that he might have hurt something like his ankle. I wasn’t really sure because he was down for a while. The replay took a while, but our people talked about it and realized he caught it between his knees. Pretty good. Haven’t seen it before.”

Lee is in his second season with Giants. He hits .260 with six homers and 46 RBI. He was 1-for-4 with a double in the victory over the rays.
