The historic and culturally important Shandur Polo Festival has officially begun in Shandur, the world’s tallest Polo soil, located at an altitude of 12,000 feet. The three-day event is jointly organized by KP Tourism Authority, Army and Chitral Scouts.
The first day included an exciting polo match between Chitral’s Sar Laspur and Ghizer team by Gilgit-Baltistan, with Sar Laspur, who got 6-3 victory.
During the festival, traditional rivals from Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan will engage in exciting polo matches that draw large crowds of local and international tourists to the scenic highlands in Shandur.
