Shark has left all restraint with the latest addition to its fan lineup. FlexBreeze Pro Mist comes with a full -size water tank that cuts on the base, allowing it to blow you up with a cool cloud of fog for hours. It is also wireless and UV and Rain-resistant, making it the perfect outdoor hangout joint case when the hot weather goes in.
Misting -Capacities are especially useful because fans don’t actually cool the air – they just swing it around around feels colder. In contrast, the air is suspected. If you fill up the tank with cooled water, or pop some ice cubes in there, Shark says that Pro Mist can change temperatures down with 6C (10.8f), which is enough to take you from hot mess to cool customer.
The design converts from full height Piedestal fan to table space (the latter is still suitable for use with the water tank, but it just sits next to the fan instead of attaching to the rack), and it can swing horizontally up to 180 degrees and manually tilt vertically 55 degrees to wide cooling. There are five speed modes to choose from, plus two ‘SmartBreeze’ settings that simulate natural winds – presumably designed for when you are actually not outside – and a remote for extra convenience.
Of course, if you use it indoors, you can turn off the fog so that you do not end up with damp rugs. And if it lives inside long periods, the tank can be taken off completely – even if it’s the main reason for choosing this fan, so if you’re not in it to fog, you’re better off to see elsewhere in our best fan -roundup.
A cooling collection
FlexBreeze Pro Mist is the third (or fourth, depending on where you live) addition to the FlexBreeze line and the most hardcore option.
The original model – which you can read about in our Shark FlexBreeze Review – still has a fog function, but you will have to connect it to an outdoor water source that limits the versatility somewhat. If your BBQ doesn’t happen to be next to a faucet, there are no icy clouds for you.
There is also a portable option – covered by our Shark FlexBreeze HydroGo Review – which offers fog from a small water tank on board. But it will not last almost as long as Pro Mist’s big bucket, and the fact that it is only a countertop and cannot swing, it really means to personal cooling and less suitable for gatherings.
Everything about FlexBreeze Pro Mist sounds nice refreshing … Although the price may be putting a damper on things. At the list price, it is $ 249.99 / £ 249.99 that is on the steep side of a fan that lacks smart features or connectivity. It is also $ 50 / £ 50 more than the original FlexBreeze, which is the same but must be connected to a snake to fog. It’s an expensive bucket. That said, Shark offers regular sales so I keep my fingers crossed for a discount before the beach season arrives.
