Sindh High Court has ordered that the Sahir Hassan bail system, the son of the famous actor Sajid Hassan, is referred to a regular bench for further procedures.
According to reports, the constitutional bench of Sindh High Court heard bail application of the defendant, who is currently in custody in a drug -relief case.
The court noted that the case falls within the jurisdiction of the ordinary court and should therefore be presented to a regular bench.
The court postponed the hearing and instructed the relevant bench to resolve the case within 14 days. The other lawyer’s lawyer claimed that the defendant is in prison during court decision and is charged with possession of drugs.
Police claim that Sahir Hassan was arrested on February 22 from Phase 6 in Defense Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi, and that five packages of cannabis were recovered from his possession.
The court also ordered that all necessary steps are taken to ensure quick case in the case. The final decision on the bail application is made by the ordinary bench.
Earlier, Sahir Hassan said investigators that his acquaintance, Armaghan, had gathered considerable wealth through false activities.
He claimed that Armaghan was dealing with CallCenter -Svindel, which targeted pension funds for older individuals abroad, and siphoned large sums under the guise of business enterprises.
Hassan also revealed that Armaghan had used these illegal means to buy luxury cars, property, weapons and even exotic animals.
Previously, Pakistani TV host Nadia Khan Strong Sahir Hassan, son of veteran actor Sajid Hassan, criticized his confession of involvement in drug trafficking.
In a talk about his talk show, Nadia Khan condemned her actions and felt her statement as “hypocritical.” “He says he doesn’t want his own children to use drugs, but has no shame in selling to other people’s children? It’s pure double standards,” she said.
Nadia Khan added that the case had shaken the nation. “Parents and children over Pakistan are disturbed. This is not just an incident – this is part of a deeply disturbing pattern, and Sajid Hassan’s son is now part of it.”
