Shedeur Sanders knows that there will be an intense quarterback competition on the way into Cleveland Brown’s training camp this summer and there is no guarantee that he will be backup, so much less start week 1.
But Sanders, elected with election # 144 in this year’s NFL draft, has a target in Cleveland already extended.
He spoke at John Marshall High School in Cleveland, where he said his eyes were firm to hoist a Vince Lombardi trophy and bring it to Cleveland for the first time in the franchise history.

“Of course, I’m trying to bring Cleveland a Super Bowl,” Sanders Student told High School.
It’s the obvious hope and dream of any player in the NFL to win a Super Bowl, so it’s not unusual for Sanders to say it out loud.

But for a franchise like Browns, a team that is only one of four who doesn’t win a title in the Super Bowl era, it would be quite a feat.

Browns have veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett in their quarterbacks room and worked out Sanders’ colleague Heisman Trophy finalist, Dillon Gabriel, two rounds before choosing Sanders. Four quarterbacks fighting for the same job in Cleveland will be a top story in training camp.
But Sanders’ trust never waves, even after his historic NFL draft of slide. He also gets involved in the Cleveland community, something he promised he would do, especially with local youth.
“I just wanted to come out and see you,” Sanders students told John Marshall. “We train every day. We have a purpose. We have something we are trying to achieve and achieve.

“What inspires me to continue? I always say to know that I have got a lot of people looking at me. Know that I am a positive influence on the youth. That’s what I say keeps me going.”
