Shedeur Sanders was visibly frustrated with Cleveland Browns’ sidelines on Saturday night and he confirmed why that was the case.
Browns won the game, 19-17, but it was Tyler Huntley who led a game-winning field goal drive to get away with the victory for the season. Huntley was cut from Browns’ list since then despite his efforts.
Meanwhile, Sanders did not have the biggest view in his first game in front of Brown’s faithful. He was fired five times and struggled to enter a rhythm with Cleveland’s violation.

But Sanders confirmed that he told chief coach Kevin Stefanski that he wanted to be the one to go out there and lead Browns to the walk-off field goal. Stefanski said no, going with Huntley instead and the veteran -quarterback got the job done.
“In the battle of the moment, in the heat of the match, you will be the alpha,” Sanders said via Cleveland.com. “You want to be that dog. You want to be out there in the last two-minute drive. So of course little things are of course frustrated, but that’s what happens when you want to be a player to be able to change a franchise.”

Sanders took over the game in the second half and he was on the training bike and got hot when he realized he didn’t go back in the game.
“I didn’t know I was out,” Sanders said before the Huntley Drive. “I went up to the two-minute drive because it’s just a situation every quarterback dreams for. There are a lot of situations I’ve been to before and I thought I was in, then he told me I wasn’t in and I was like, ‘OK.'”
Stefanski defended his decision to go with Huntley, which was the only quarterback that played in all three for -season with Browns. He was brought in after Kenny Pickett and the third round of Pick Dillon Gabriel-Sanders went two rounds after him back in April-Begge suffered hamstring injuries earlier in the camp.

“Obviously, we didn’t play well as an offense in the second half,” Stefanski told Cleveland.com. “It’s never on one person. So we can be better in a lot of areas and just felt we would give Snoop one last drive.
“[Sanders] is a competitive child. The plan was to go with snoop there. But I wouldn’t do more of it than that. “
There are some football fans out there who think Sanders is sabotaged by Browns, but Stefanski sipped it right in the bud.
“I do not deal with outside type of things, but I am committed to his development as all our rookies,” he said.
Browns have already appointed 41-year-old veteran Joe Flacco their quarterback in week 1 against Cincinnati Bengals, a crucial AFC North Divisional Matchup to start the season. Who exactly wants to be his backup is still to see, but Pickett is expected to be back for Browns before than expected. Stefanski said he expects him back in week 1.

Stefanski has not appointed a backup for Flacco, but ESPN reported that Browns have “planned to keep his four other QBs … on his 53-man list.” The fourth is Deshaun Watson, who is on an injured reserve due to a torn Achilles.
Each NFL team will have to submit their 53-male guards before Tuesday at. 16 ET, so Brown’s fans and the rest of the football world will know what Cleveland intends to do with Sanders and their quarterbacks at the time.
