Cleveland Browns used No. 144 Overall election in the fifth round of the NFL draft to take Sanders on Saturday and completed one of the most shocking slides of a top quarterback view in league history.

Sanders was expected to be the first quarterback taken this year shortly after the end of the 2024 college football season. But throughout the draft process it changed dramatically and Sanders fell all the way to the third day.

The family was at the center of huge national attention with video footage of their handling of the dramatic fall. This included Sanders, giving a speech to his family who admitted that they were not prepared to fall out of the first round on Thursday and recordings of a prank call to the view Friday.

But on Saturday, the family finally heard his name called … and it was time to party.

In recordings that were live streamed on Twitch, Sanders and his family members were seen explode in a fierce screaming party when his name was called.

Further footage showed that the family broke out in spontaneous dance moments after the selection was made.

Shedeur even made his own statement after the preparation and credited God.

“Thank you God,” he wrote.

Sanders and His family members repeatedly thanked God throughout the draft this weekend.

Sanders led the BIG 12 conference with 4,134 passing yards and 37 touchdown passes and was named the big 12 offensive player of the year. In his 50 college games, Sanders threw 14,347 yards, 134 touchdowns and 27 interceptions.

For a quarterback view that this respect falls out of the third round is very unusual in the NFL.

Top prospects like Sanders have seen shocking slides in previous NFL drafts. Aaron Rodgers slid down to the 25th gathering election in the NFL draft in 2005 and was passed on to Alex Smith of the 49s.

Patrick Mahomes was not taken until the 10th election in 2017 draft and was passed on to Mitch Trubisky by Bears. At that time, Mahomes were still less of a hyped view than Sanders.

Lamar Jackson fell all the way to the 32nd election in 2018 draft after four other quarterbacks were taken in front of him.

But Sanders, once considered the top candidate to go # 1 overall this year, falling to day three of the draft, is a historical deviation.

An anonymous NFL trainer told NFL network Sanders was “the worst formal interview I’ve ever been II my life.”

“He is so justified. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has terrible body language. He accuses teammates,” the coach continued. “But the biggest thing is that he is not so good.”

Another long -time AFC director repeated that mood and told the sales, “It did not go well in our interview. He will dictate what he will do and what is best for him. He makes you feel small.”

Three quarterbacks were then taken in front of him, including lower classified views Jaxson Dart and Tyler Shough.

Then Sanders Prank was called by an imposter during a livestream Friday night. While he and his family live-streamed day two of their NFL drafts of pitch-friday evening, Sanders was Set, who responded to a phone call, which he assumed was from a general manager who made the decision to prepare him.
