Shedeur Sanders has a home in the NFL after a shocking, almost three-day wait, where he dramatically slid down the draft.

Cleveland Browns ended one of the most controversial NFL drafts of slides in league history when they chose Sanders in the fifth round with the 144th total elections on Saturday.

The NFL world had been locked inside the Sanders family’s home since Thursday night when Sanders experienced one of the most dramatic and shocking draft slides in league history.

NFL -Draft of Quarterback -Error that Formed League Landscape

“Nothing really affected me for the past few days,” Sanders journalists told Saturday. “I’m preferred, I’m blessed. Besides it’s not really something that changed. The love of the game is still the love of the game. When you get on the field, there wasn’t too much negativity that was said. I know I have to clean up some things in my game for me to be in my best, but that’s what I take every season once and fix it.

“The most important thing I just prove – Coach (Kevin) Stefanski and (General Manager Andrew) Berry – that they are right. That’s it. They’re right to choose me. I’m a good decision. I’m a good draft of them to be able to get in there and do what I have to do.”

For Sanders, who at one point is considered a challenger to the overall election in the draft, the autumn was historic.

Top prospects like Sanders have had shocking slides in previous NFL drafts. Aaron Rodgers slid down to the 25th Collected election in 2005 NFL Draft and was transferred by the 49s for Alex Smith.

Patrick Mahomes was not taken until the 10th election in 2017 draft and was transferred to Mitch Trubisky by Bears. At that time, Mahomes were still less of a hyped view than Sanders.

Shedeur Sanders’ historic NFL draft of drama ignited heated racial debates

Lamar Jackson fell all the way to the 32nd election in 2018 draft after four other quarterbacks were taken in front of him.

But Sanders had to wait far into the third day to hear his name called, with almost all the national attention of the event at the time square on him.

Sanders also had to deal with a prank call from an imposter NFL GM in front of a Twitch livestream audience on Friday night.

“Of course, I feel like it was a childish act, but everyone does childish things here and there,” Sanders told journalists about the prank phone call via Cleveland.com refresh Mary Kay Cabot.

Brown’s main coach Kevin Stefanski approached Prank Call at a press conference on Saturday.

“It’s sad that these young men have to tackle this,” Stefanski said. “It’s silly, but on and upwards.”

Now Sanders is focused on doing his best job with browns and showing all the “real” him.

“I know I want to fit in perfectly,” Sanders said. “I want it to come in first, show respect for the veterinarians, show them that I’m here ready to work. Show the coaches and make them understand, I’m ready to work here. So they could actually understand the real me. That’s what I’m really grateful to have is the opportunity for people to actually see the right me and not be able to see things that could be true or not.”

Sanders’ father and college coach Deion Sanders sent a message of gratitude on X after his son was elected.

“My Bible says God uses the foolish things to confuse the wise, and he chose the weak things in the world that he might be ashamed of the strong,” Sanders said in a post on X. “Please that God is not done, and God is just really getting started. Enjoy this lesson and stop stressing.”

God was a common theme throughout the draft of the entire Sanders family. Shedeur and Deion expressed thanks to God in several social media posts without further context dozens of times since Thursday.

Deion’s second son, Deion Sanders Jr., released a madness of Bible verses in his X account and then gentwounded the same post a few hours later.

Deion has been a devoted Christian throughout his football career, and his sons leaned over it throughout the weekend during the Shedeur’s unprecedented experience.

However, sheath watch also differs from Deion in other ways, according to Brown’s General Manager Andrew Berry.

“Sheath, he’s probably a little opposite with regard to personality with his father,” Berry told journalists on Saturday. “A little quieter, a little more introverted, but we felt good with him as a person. He is working hard. He is a really good child. He wants to be big. His teammates loved him in Colorado. And I know he is coming in ready to work and ready to put his best foot forward.”

Several reports indicated that Sanders may have interviewed poorly with several NFL -Generelle leaders throughout the draft. However, Browns’ Berry said his team’s interview was a “positive” experience.

Berry and Stefanski suggested that Sanders would compete for the team’s starting quarterback position in 2025.

“We don’t care when they walk in the doors. Don’t care about the first round, seventh round pick, not drawn. When you’re here and you’re on this football team, you’re part of this culture, you’re part of this family and we just want to keep your head down and go to work.”
