Shehbaz promises to make Pakistan -hub for foreign investment

Islamabad:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday was chairman of a high -level meeting on Pakistan’s economy and foreign investments that underwent the overall financial situation, foreign direct investments (FDI) and development projects in energy, infrastructure, information technology and industry.

The prime minister said the government’s ahead priority was to place the economy on a strong and sustainable foundation. He emphasized that the private sector must play a key role in the design of economic activity and instructed ministries and institutions to provide full ease to international investors.

Shehbaz noted that the recent positive trends in the economy reflected growing foreign investor confidence. He promised to transform Pakistan into a regional investment nap through transparency, internationally adapted policy and Swift implementation. “Our ongoing economic and economic reforms have given the economy a new direction. Thanks to innovation and transparency has landed on the development path,” he said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that promoting both trade and investment remained a central policy, adding that all available opportunities would be used to create employment and improve public welfare.

The meeting underwent energy, infrastructure, IT and industrial projects and was attended by Senior Minister and Army Chief Gen Syed Asim Munir.
