Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan and praises his visionary leadership, faith and generosity.

He described Prince Karim Aga Khan as a remarkable leader who is devoted to lifting communities all over the world.
Through his tireless work in poverty reduction, healthcare and gender equality, he advanced the cause of marginalized groups, leaving a lasting influence on millions of lives.
Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani also expanded his condolance and called Prince Karim Aga Khan a great humanitarian dedicated to peace and humanity.
In his condolence announcement, he recognized Aga Khan’s lifelong commitment to social welfare, especially in education and healthcare. His numerous initiatives for underprivileged and middle -class communities benefit millions and will be remembered as part of his sustained heritage.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed deep sadness over the passing of Aga Khan and highlighted his huge philanthropic contributions globally.
In a message about X, Dar Aga Khan’s special ties with Pakistan and his unmatched role in the country’s development emphasized.
“His unwavering obligation to improve societies worldwide leaves an indelible inheritance,” Dar wrote, adding that Pakistan would forever protect his contribution. He expanded inner compassion for Aga Khan’s family and the Ismaili community.
UN Secretary General António Guterres also shared his grief on X and praised Aga Khan as a symbol of peace, tolerance and compassion. Guterres conveyed compassion for Aga Khan’s family and the global Ismaili community.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed admiration for Aga Khan’s lifelong dedication to promote peace and prosperity.
Trudeau described him as a visionary leader who worked tirelessly across cultures and continents to tackle global challenges such as poverty, education and gender inequality.
“He was a man with extraordinary vision, faith and generosity, and his heritage will live on,” Trudeau wrote.
Nobel prize winner Malala Yousafzai shared her feelings and recognized Aga Khan’s lasting influence on education, health and development. “His heritage will continue through the incredible work he led,” she said.
Other leaders, including former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, the ex-foreign minister John Baird, and the new Democratic party leader Jagmeet Singh, also expressed their grief.
Kenya’s President William Samoei Ruto praised Aga Khan as an extraordinary leader who went over the expectations of helping vulnerable communities and highlighting his remarkable contribution.
