Shilo Sanders remained a free agent after Tampa Bay Buccaneers waived him earlier in the week after a draft from a Forsy Season match against Buffalo Bills.

Sanders could not lock in the Buccaneers ‘or others’ exercise teams when he was waived. There are a few days left before the start of the regular season 2025.

He sheds light on what’s next for his career.

“I feel like this is just part of my story to grow and do bigger and better things. Whether it finds another team, whether it gets another opportunity in the NFL, that’s what it is,” he said in a video that was sent to social media. “My time to be with Buccaneers has been nothing but great. The city, my teammates, my coaches, everyone has poured in love and support towards me, and I will always be grateful for that.”

He suggested that there could be a career for him outside of football, including music or modeling.

“I want to talk to my agent and we’re waiting for the next option. If it’s in the NFL, cool, but God has blessed me with a lot of talent to do other things than football,” he added.

His father, Deion Sanders, offered his own thoughts earlier this week.

“He is my son, I am proud of my children, all. And I prepared my children for all that could possibly happen in life and in sports,” he said via ESPN. “It’s part of Father, it’s part of custody, it’s part of having a relationship.

“So he is mentally where he needs, physically, where he needs to be. We pray that he will have another opportunity to go with a team, but if he does not, the plans have already been made to what he will do next.”

Sanders added that he was sure Shilo would be OK one way or the other.

“Shilo is a man with many talents,” he said. “I don’t know if you know – he is a man with many talents and he will be equal. All Sanders will be equal with or without football. You have to believe it. You have to believe that I take care of mine and I have always had it and you know what I mean. You think it better.”
