Shōgun has already become a tax in the price and won several awards for its first season.
Now, for example, the -show won the best international series at the BAFTA TV Awards. In his acceptance speech, Showrunner Justin highlighted how the series was made with global collaboration.
“You have a bunch of Americans who came with a bunch of Europeans and a bunch of Japanese and made a show in Canada, and now we’re on stage in England,” the creator added.
He continued, “that we are on stage is truly a testimony to the spirit of the great international cooperation that our crew of 3,000 people says.”
“It’s a spirit that unfortunately disappears from the world right now. Thanks, BAFTA … to honor this idea that good TV is really a boundless nation,” the showrunner noted.
Meanwhile, the shooting of the highly expected season two starts in Vancouver in January 2026.
Details of the plot are limited. However, the events in the second season will take place after a decade of what happened in season one.
