Shohei Ohtani returns to the haug on Monday night when Los Angeles Dodgers undertakes San Diego Padres in what’s set to be his first pitching performance since August 23, 2023.
Dodgers published the announcement of Ohtani’s return to the bulge on Sunday night in the middle of the team’s 5-4 win over the San Francisco giants. Ohtani has not looked up since he was a member of Los Angeles Angels. He had an elbow procedure between the 21 months he was kept from Kanddehaugen.

He is likely to be used which opens to dodgers.
“Shohei gets Antsy, which is a good thing for us,” Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts said before the team announced Ohtani would be on the bulge.
“I don’t know if it will be one or two laps, but my guess is probably a game to start. But it’s a good thing. The live, simulated or whatever, kind of ran his course. He’s ready to make his debut on the haug.”
It was expected that Ohtani would return to Kandehaugen at a time when he signed a 10-year contract of $ 700 million with Los Angeles by the 2024 season. It was only a matter of time and Dodgers had no qualms about slowly rolling his efforts to look up again.

He started the Bullpen sessions on March 29 and threw batting practice on May 25.
“There has been a lot of expectation,” Roberts said. “I think we’ve done it the right way as far as our process, communication with Shohei and are doing well. … It’s good for our team. Our guys are excited about this potential. And it’s obviously most important, I’m excited about Shohei.”
Ohtani is one of the rare players in the sport who can both hit and hit.
He has appeared 86 appearances like a jug and knocked out 608 fighters with a 3.01 era. He only broke up for Los Angeles Angels in MLB.
Los Angeles deals with a number of injuries in his rotation. Roki Sasaki is set to be sidelined in the long term with the right shoulder impinging, Blake Snell lacks time due to the left shoulder inflammation, and Tyler Glasnow has to do with the right shoulder inflammation.

Ohtani will be invited to give Dodgers some relief in this area – at least for now.
