Law enforcement agencies have launched raids across the city following a rise in extortion incidents. The investigation into the firing at a car showroom on New MA Jinnah Road is underway.
Investigators revealed that the suspects involved in the New MA Jinnah Road incident used mobile phone services instead of social media platforms to issue threats. The group fired at the showroom before sending a text message.
The message read: “This is a trailer. If you don’t pay Rs5 million by 7pm, the full movie will start.”
