Sindh announces summer vacation for schools, colleges

The Sindh government has announced summer holidays for all schools and colleges in the province, with effect from June 1 to July 31.

A notification issued by the SINDH education department confirmed that the summer holidays will be complied with across all educational institutions during this period.

A day earlier, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) announced the government the summer holiday plan for both government and private schools throughout the province.

According to a review issued by the KP Department of Education, the summer holidays for schools in the summer zone (Plains areas) will be observed from June 1 to August 31 for primary schools.

For the middle, high and higher colleges, the summer holidays begin on June 15 and continue until August 31

The announcement also stated that in the winter zone schools will observe summer holidays from July 1 to July 31.

This schedule applies uniform to both government and private educational institutions operating in the respective zones of KP.

Similarly, the Punjab government had announced that summer holidays in all schools throughout the province would begin on May 28.

According to a statement from Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, the decision was made due to the ongoing serious heat wave.
