Karachi: The Sindh government has announced prizes for the best decorated vehicles, shops and buildings in connection with the Independence Day-14. August parties throughout the province.
Sindh Minister of Chief Murad Ali Shah, who turned to a press conference in Karachi, encouraged widespread public participation in concerts organized in Karachi, Hyderabad and Succur, where he said Karachi would be at the forefront of Independence Day’s festivities.
Planned activities include a poetry night, a rickshaw -rally, the formation of a human flag and public competitions.
CM said there was an effort to arrange vintage car and heavy bike walls as well as trade fairs for women and paint competitions.
The cultural department has been asked to hold singing competitions. CM Shah also mentioned that Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Mela from 9 to 11 August reflects the spirit of Independence Day.
He instructed IGP and dig traffic to end traffic plans and encouraged citizens to cooperate under rallies, even if they were unattended, “for the sake of Pakistan.”
The minister said that formal invitations would be sent to all political parties to participate in the events and school plans would remain unaffected. The education department also organizes separate programs.
In addition, he added that August 5 would be marked with a special event in protest against the abolition of Kashmir’s special status, while a separate larger event would also be held for people with disabilities.
