Sindh, China Forge Deeper Economic Bonde

In a significant step towards financial cooperation, a high-level delegation met from the Sindh government, led by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, with top executives of Chinese companies in Beijing.

The meetings focused on major infrastructure and energy projects and paved the way for improved bilateral partnerships. The delegation included Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla and Pakistan’s ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi.

CM’s discussions with the Chinese business managers gymed with several key projects designed to increase Sindhs and Pakistan’s economic growth:

Karachi Circular Railway

CM said the KCR project was pending with Chinese authorities for approval from 2016. He added that the work on different BRT was running, while two, green and orange were operations, but their true advantage would take when KCR, the most important Feeds for the brts would be operational.

Main Minister Shah expressed strong optimism over the potential of these collaborations and said: “These projects represent not only significant progress for Sindh, but also a crucial contribution to Pakistan’s national development agenda. Karachi Circular Railway, Thar Coal Development and the adoption of modern electric transport will dramatically improve public services and stimulate economic activity.

He further emphasized the importance of exploiting China’s technological expertise to accelerate Sindh’s development and create several job opportunities.
