The Sindh Government has announced a public holiday on Friday, April 4 to mark the founder of the 46 -year anniversary of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former prime minister, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
According to a review issued by SINDH Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, all provincial government offices will remain closed on the day.
The holidays will also apply to autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, businesses and local councils under the administrative control of the provincial government.
To commemorate Bhutto’s death year, PPP will hold a condolence collection in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on April 4, who are expected to draw party workers and supporters from all over the country.
Yesterday, President Asif Ali Zardari, awarded Pakistan’s highest civilian awards about several distinguished citizens, including the deceased former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, in recognition of their expertise, contributions and remarkable results across different areas.
In a prestigious ceremony held in Aiwan-I-sadr, President Asif Ali Zardari Pakistan’s highest civilian honor, Nishan-E-Pakistan, awarded the deceased former prime minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. His daughter, Sanam Bhutto, received the award on his behalf and marked a significant moment in the country’s history.
The ceremony participating in remarkable figures such as Senate President Yousuf Raza Gilani, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto, and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zze-Zoni celebrated those who have made remarkable contributions in different areas.
