SINDH Governor Donates Five-Months’ Salary to Floods

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has announced the donation of his five-month salary to help victims of recent floods, Express News expressed Friday.

In a statement, the governor expressed solidarity with the flooded communities and said, “In this crisis time I stand with the people who suffer from the devastating floods.”

The governor also announced the creation of a dedicated relief cell in the Governor House to coordinate and oversee help activities, ensuring timely support when the affected areas.

In a message sent on X, he called on all stakeholders to formulate a comprehensive strategy to fight the growing climate crisis facing the country.

Tessori confirmed that trucks filled with important relief and tents are sent to the flood districts to provide immediate assistance to the distressed.

He also appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to build a national consensus on the issue and emphasized that a coordinated strategy beyond political interests is important to pull the country out of the crisis.
