SINDH, KP -Arswer tried to request Quranic tuition

Islamabad:

A five-member Supreme Court, led by justice Aminuddin Khan, sought on Wednesday response from Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa governments to a plea for compulsory teaching in Holy Koran in the country.

During a consultation, the federal government, in addition to Punjab and the Balochistanian governments, presented their answers to the placement, while the Sindh and KP governments sought time for their submissions in the case.

From the beginning, justice noted Jamal Mandokhail that, according to the reply, the federal government had initiated measures for the teaching of the Holy Qur’an. “Let the government do its job,” he said, asking why the court should interfere.

The petitioner told the court that only the translation of the Holy Qur’an could be used by the law as there was a general consensus. The petitioner added that it was also mandatory for the federal government to approve the translation.

The court sought answers from Sindh and the KP governments on the question and postponed the hearing indefinitely.
