Karachi:
Sindh -Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held separate meetings with Rana Mashhood, chairman of the Prime Minister’s youth program and the federal minister of religious affairs to discuss issues relevant to their domains.
In his meeting with Rana Mashhood, CM discussed the strengthening of coordination between the Prime Minister’s youth program and Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Department.
They agreed that youth from Sindh through this collaboration would have the opportunity to travel to different countries for employment, education exchange and exposure visits.
Mashhood briefed the chief minister about the recently launched Digital Youth Hub, an initiative designed to connect young people with employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors. He shared the vision of sending talented Pakistani youth abroad for work and highlighted the global demand for trained professionals from Pakistan.
Anti-polio campaign
The main minister, who was chairman of a meeting in the Provincial Task Force for polio -depletion, said the province has reported four polio cases in 2025, compared to 23 in 2024 and 2 in 2023, therefore there is a need for improved coordination across all districts in preparation for the coming national immunization days (NIDS), which is planned from 21 to 27 to 27 April, 2025.
“Our efforts this year must be focused on ensuring that every child gets the antipoli vaccine,” he said.
Provincial Minister of Health Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho told the meeting that four current cases have been identified in Badin, Larkana, Cambar and Thatta Dsitricts.
Dr. Azra Pechuho highlighted the need for sustained follow -up in communities affected by incorrect information.
IFC delegation
The Minister of Ministry met a delegation of International Finance Corporation (IFC) in CM House. The delegation was led by Mrs. Linda Rudo Munyengeterwa, director of public-private partnerships, privatizations and advice on corporate financing, IFC Global, to discuss urban, water and sanitation projects.
