Sindh’s Minister of Culture decides to arrange the funeral of Humaira Asghar

Sindh Minister of Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah on Thursday announced that his department will organize the funeral of the late actress Humaira Asghar Ali.

This decision comes after discussions with the extra ig Karachi about the question of the actor’s funeral, reported Express news.

Shah instructed the Culture Director to act as the focal person for this matter.

The minister said that if Humaira’s family refuses to demand her body or arrange the funeral, the Sindh Culture Department will take responsibility as her legal heir.

In an official letter sent to you East, the Minister emphasized that Humaira was not without heirs and that the provincial culture department would oversee the funeral process, including the funeral in a cemetery.

The letter stated that the incident around her death was tragic and heartbreaking.

Shah assured that the department’s priority is to ensure that the deceased’s family agrees to receive her body.

He also promised that the cultural department, together with police cooperation, would take all the necessary steps to facilitate the funeral.

Actor and model Humaira Asghar Ali, 35, was found dead in his Karachi apartment reportedly after months without public performance. Her body was discovered when her landlord and police arrived to expose her to non -payment of rent.

The deceased was found in an advanced degree of degradation after the authorities broke into her flat and found the door locked from the inside.

Police have reached out to her alienated family with the help of contact information obtained from her landlord.

Humaira’s father and brother were contacted by police, but her father refused to travel to Karachi with reference to alienation from her two years ago.

Investigators restored two mobile phones from the stage, which have been sent for forensic analysis.

They also investigate the possibility of a third phone as no communication has been traced beyond October 2024.

No suspicious CCTV recordings were found in the building. The study is ongoing.
