Sir Rod Stewart just made a shocking admission that he was thinking of “canceling” his Glastonbury concert.

The 80-year-old icon, which is set to play the legends slot at the famous pyramid stage, admits he came very close to being a no-show due to suffering of illness.

The Maggie May Hitmaker – who is married to Model Penny Lancaster – told The sun Avis: “I’ve had to cancel five shows because of this B ****** flu.

“This time last week I was thinking of canceling. It was a close shaving. I’ve had the flu A. It’s been so terrible,” he added.

However, we have Young Turks Croner’s wife to thank, who encouraged him to go through with his planned concert.

“But my dear wife Penny and some good medical people got me through it. There was a lot of technical massage from some very good people I know, which sounds dirty, right? You have no idea,” Sir Rod revealed.

He continued, “But my dear wife, she said to me ‘You have to do this. It’s mind over fabric.’ She cared me back to health.

After overcome his illness, Sir Rod Stewart is now looking forward to taking the Glastonbury scene and saying, “I really look forward to it now. I feel honored and privileged, considering four days ago I would not do it.”
