Sofía Vergara had to miss Television’s biggest evening this year due to a medical emergency.
The Modern family Alun, 53, approached her absence in an Instagram post that shared photos from the hospital a day later.
“Didn’t it go to Emmys, but came,” Vergara wrote on Monday with a carousel post that included a close -up of her swollen left eye.

In a video from The Post, the actress could be seen lying in a hospital bed, while another clip filmed as she flushed the eye with water in a hospital washing.
Vergara was scheduled to present at the prestigious ceremony with a star -studded lineup that included Elizabeth Banks, Angela Bassett, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Sterling K. Brown and Tina Fey among others.
Vergara was not the only one with a health scorn that night when Eric Dane, named as a program manager, also missed the event.
Dane, 52, has fought publicly in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and was intended to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Gray’s Anatomy At the ceremony.
In contrast, Sterling K. Brown defied expectations and participated in the show despite a torn Achilles.
The Paradise Actor also rolled on stage with a knee scooter to present the award for unique supportive actor in a comedy series for Jeff Hiller from Someone somewhere.
Brown even exposed the days of surgery to join Emmys when he was nominated as the excellent starring actor in a category for drama series for his performance at Hulu’s hit Paradise.
