- Some Pixel 9 Exclusive photo editing tools could be on the way to older phones
- Auto -Frame and Reimagine AI tools can roll out more far -reaching
- Handset from Pixel 6 and In the future are tilted to get upgrade
The Google Pixel 9 Series launched with a stack of AI photo editing features excluding for these devices-but now it seems that Google is preparing to push some of these features out to older pixel hand sets.
As discovered by @Assembledebug and Android Authority, the latest version of the Google Photos app for Android features -Code that suggests both auto -frame and Reimagine, will be made available to Pixel 6 and newer phones.
Auto frame allows you to make sure that the primary topic of your photo is well placed in this photo -which may involve pruning the image or expand the background using an AI magic. There is also a similar feature on the best Samsung phones.
As for Reimagine, this allows you to finish parts of your photo using a text prompt and AI image generation. You might want to add a car to a street scene, for example or a tree to a natural landscape – if you can imagine, Reimagine on Google photos can do it.
Pixel Exclusives
Google hasn’t said anything officially yet, so it’s not clear when these new features are reaching handsets like Google Pixel 8 (provided Google is accompanied by this), but the rollout should not be far away.
It makes sense that Google wants to do so many of its AI photo editing features available to as many people as possible, provided their phones have the necessary treatment power to run them.
While keeping features that are exclusive to newer handsets can drive sales, it is not clear how many users have upgraded to Pixel 9 just to use the AI image features – even though we have been pretty much impressed with what they are capable of.
In less than a month, we will do it all again when the Google Pixel 10 series gets its magnificent disclosure on Wednesday, August 20th. Expect a lot more talk about the power of AI, and maybe some features that are only available on the new Pixel 10.
