- Sonic Racing: Crossworlds has a new trailer with the permission of the state of play presentation
- It contains dynamic courses and the return of Sonic Riders’ extreme gear
- A closed network test happens later this month
Sega has just dropped a whole lot of new information about the upcoming racing game, Sonic Racing: Crossworlds. The title was fully revealed in February 12 The PlayStation State of Play Presentation after its first Drill at the Game Awards 2024.
The trailer itself gives lots of Sonic fans to mull over, including racing tracks based on the dinosaur jungle (Sonic and the secret rings) and metal harbor (Sonic Adventure 2). Best of all, the trailer confirmed the return of the extreme gear board from Sonic Riders as a usable vehicle.
Now the official Sonic Racing: Crossworlds The site has been updated with lots of fresh details based on what we saw in the state with the play trailer (which you can check even below).
Look at
The return of transformative land, sea and air vehicles have been confirmed that belongs to the days of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing transformed. Courses also appear to be incredibly dynamic. The racer at the tip can choose one of two travel strings at the beginning of the second lap and transport them to one of the titular cross -worlds. There is also an opportunity for a ‘frenzy gate’ that seems to take players to a random place.
The site also confirms that cars can be customized in terms of appearance and perks so you can form a look and driving style your own. Furthermore, a PlayStation -blog post about the game states that characters will not be tied to specific cars and instead “can run in all kinds of vehicles,” a first one for Sonic Racing series.
If you can’t wait to play Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, Which still doesn’t have a release date, you might be lucky. A closed network test will take place on February 21 with registrations that will be alive on February 18.
The closed network test will let players run online at different courses. The highlighted playable characters are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Cream, Eggman, Omega and Zazz. However, the trailer shows several characters coming to the game, including Sage, Jet The Hawk, Silver, Vector and Charmy.
On one last note, PlayStation -blog post indicates that “iconic characters from Sonic and Sega Univeres” will contain in Sonic Racing: Crossworlds. It is important that ‘Sega’ is important as it could mean that we also see grades from franchises as Super Monkey Ball, Samba de Amigo and potentially Nights, As was the case in the past Sonic Racing titles.
