Indiana Fever -Star Sophie Cunningham seemed to be hit by a projectile sex toys during Tuesday evening’s game against Los Angeles Sparks. The incident came in the final minutes in the second quarter as the fever was preparing to invite the ball.
It is the third case of a green sex toy thrown into a WNBA court in the last few weeks, in what has become a growing trend. The first one came in a game in Atlanta on July 29, and it happened again in Chicago on August 1st.

Now the latest event has also made Cunningham the victim the same day she publicly complained about the idea that a player was hit by the said object.
During Tuesday’s episode of her podcast, Cunningham addressed the question that the objects were thrown into courts and wondered what the fall would look like if a player was hit by one.

“I just know how things are getting viral now, and I just know if the thing that even came from like rafters or bows and just threw me right in the face, I could never, I could, that would be what I would be known for life,” Cunningham said. “And yes, it could break a f — in the nose.”
Cunningham said her mother even asked her to take care of the opportunity to be hit by such an object.
“My mom, she goes, instead of as my good luck, she goes ‘watch out to fly D-LDOS tonight,'” Cunningham said.

Cunningham previously sent a post on X Friday that asked fans to end the charad.
“Stop throwing dildos on the field … you’re going to hurt one of us,” she wrote.
Cunningham brought light on the situation by rephrasing this post after Tuesday’s match with the message, “This wasn’t getting older.”
Stunts have even resulted in an arrest. WNBA announced on Saturday that one of the guilty had been arrested and there would be additional penalties for the one who threw an object on the gaming surface.
