- A new rumor suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold phone is not being revealed at the next Samsung Galaxy, which is after all appointed
- Previous rumors suggested that the new device would be revealed next to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7
- We are not convinced on both sides of the argument
We’ve heard lots about the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold (or, as Samsung might call it, several times) phone recently, but if a new tipoff is something to pass, we may not have the new folding inside until a little later than some may have hoped.
According to Tipster Max Jambor, the Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold phone is not launched with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7-as both are expected to be revealed on this year’s summer edition of Samsung Galaxy unpacked (or winter edition if you are in Australia).
Jambor shared the Tipoff to X (formerly Twitter), where he opposed earlier rumors who suggested that the Tri-Fold Galaxy phone would be launched at Samsung’s half-yearly event.
However, Jambor did not offer much in the way of context or justification for this claim, so we are not quite sure that it will be true.
Samsung first teased a tri-fold device on this year’s first Samsung Galaxy-packed showcase, just before you revealed the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Edge-It would feel satisfactorily symmetrically to have the device officially revealed in the same way.
As we previously reported, Korean Outlet hinted a news recently that the tri-fold galaxy phone Would be revealed at the next Samsung Galaxy unpacked.
In general, it is difficult to measure which rumor is more reliable – but I think it is worth keeping expectations tempered for the next Samsung Galaxy unpacked livestream.
As it says, there are no tri-fold phones available all over the world. Huawei has stated that it intends to launch the Mate XT Ultimate Tri-Fold phone in global markets, but this will not include the United States as Huawei is forbidden to do business there.
As we have previously covered, the Samsung Galaxy G Fold is expected to have two panels that unfold from a central panel, rather than the z-shaped configuration used by Huawei Mate XT.
We haven’t heard much about tri-fold devices from other telephone manufacturers, so it seems that Samsung has a solid chance of being the first company to produce a really globally accessible TRI-Fold device that will undoubtedly rocket to a place on our lists of the best Samsung phones and best folding phones.
