Peshawar:
Speaker for the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa assembly, Babar Saleem Swati, has heavily condemned the unprovoked states of the United States on Iran’s nuclear facilities, termed it as an obvious and serious violation of Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, the charter of the United Nations.
He said the strike is coming at a time when Iran is already facing aggression from Israel, adding that such actions will not only escalate tensions in the region but also pose a serious threat to global peace. SWATI expressed full solidarity and sympathy with Iran’s people and government and called on the international community to take immediate notice of the aggression and play his role in ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East.
He further emphasized that international institutions such as the United Nations must not remain silent spectators and that the maintenance of international law should be their prompt priority.
Meanwhile, adviser to Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, heavily criticized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharifs reported proposals to nominate former US President Donald Trump at the Nobel Peace Prize and called it “the height of Sycophantic politics.”
Barrister Saif said it was incomprehensible to suggest such an honor for a man “responsible for counting bombs on Muslims.” He pointed out that President Trump not only directly attacked Iran during his term of office, but also rejected ceasefire solutions at Gaza eight times.
“Instead of conveying peace between Iran and Israel, innocent civilians are directly targeted – and Shehbaz Sharif remains silent, but still talks about nominating Trump at the Nobel Peace Prize. This is not only shameful, it’s condesal,” he said.
He also said, “There is a limit to flattery, and Shearif Sharif’s recent remarks are not only shameful, but reflects the ultimate napkin Pressitus. Nomination of Trump means offending the entire Muslim Ummah.”
