It took 11 games, but New Orleans Saints Quarterback Spencer Rattler finally earned his first career victory in the NFL.
Rattler had been in several close matches with the saints, but had been unable to get away with the winning feeling – until New York Giants entered Caesar’s Superdome on Sunday. Giants were fresh from their first win of the season and the first of Jaxson Dart’s young career in week 4.
However, Rattler did not leave New York’s momentum for a long time, which led the saints to a 26-14 victory that saw the defense play an important role in the effort.

Rattler went 20-of-30 in 225 yards, including an 87-yard touchdown pass to the broad recipient Rasheed Shaheed, who brought the saints back into the game after Giants opened with two touchdown drives limited by passport to the tight end Theo Johnson.

Shaheeds Touchdown cut Giants’ lead to 14-13, but after New Orleans Kicker Blake Grupe missed a field goal, it seemed momentum could swing back to Giants. That changed when Dart’s passport to Darius Slayton resulted in a fumble when New York crossed to the Saints Territory.
After the holy recovered fumble, Gruppe converted a field goal to finish half, and New Orleans never looked back.

The second half was a nightmare for Giants’ violation as four equal drives ended up in revenue. It started with Dart just dropping the football for a fumble. On the next drive, Running Back Cam Tax Bo back also fumbled back, and Jordan Howden returned it to a touchdown to push the sacred leads to 26-14.
Darts threw a few interceptions as he tried to gather the giants, but his efforts only led to more frustration.
While Rattler finally got his first win, head coach Kellen Moore also picked up his first career victory in his new role. Both teams are now 1-4 to five weeks.
