- Spider-Man: Brand new day could contain another larger Marvel -Super hero
- The latest role crew suggests that one of the original Avengers will have a significant role to play
- If it’s true, Marvel and Sony possibly claim old storytelling with their recording
Spider-Man: Brand new day Will apparently contain another larger Marvel superhero – and if it’s true, I’m worried that the film will recover old storytelling in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Yesterday (May 26), a report from Superhero Fansite Nexus Point News suggested that one of the original six Avengers appear in Spidey’s next big screen adventure. Nexus Point News also indicated that the said individual would also have a significant role to play in the Marvel Phase 6 movie. Potentially large spoilers follow immediately before Spider-Man 4So continue with your own risk.
According to Nexus Point News’s sources, Mark Ruffalos Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk will have a major bearing role in Brand new day. There is no information on how Banner or his gamma-beamed alter-ego will fit into the procedure, but there is mumbling that he could be the latest scientific genius for mentor Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.
Now it is unclear whether Nexus Point News’ latest claim is true. For what it is worth, Outlet’s overall Track Record can be described as pretty accurate. According to the Resetera forums, they were the first site that broke the news that Alex Garland was set to instruct a Elden Ring Film customization. This claim made on May 6th was made almost three weeks before A24 and Garland were confirmed to work on a Elden Ring film.
However, if this hulk rumor ends up being true, it raises two major concerns about the film’s plot for me – both of which lean into some tired and cliché tale stroke that MCU has already explored.
The first concern I have is that Holland’s Spider-Man might get another Mentor figure. After taking his MCU -DeBut in Captain America: Civil WarWeb Says were taken under the wing of Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark, alias Iron Man until his death in Avengers: Endgame. It can also be argued that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange temporarily took over the role of a mentoring figure, albeit a slightly antagonistic, in Spider-Man: No way homealso.
The prospect of Ruffalos Banner, who becomes Wallcrawler’s third tutor-style figure in just four Spider-Man films to date, would be excessive for me. It would also undo the end of Spidey’s third solo excursion in MCU, without the hard reset that webhead should not only grow up as an individual, but thrives as a whole without supervision.
Banner’s (and by proxy, Hulks) Inclusion also presents an uninspired storytelling situation we’ve seen before. This is a Marvel hero that will potentially fight for the large, green, lean machine.
Whether it is Avengers: Age of Ultron or Thor: RagnarokWe have already seen like Iron Man and Thor Square Off Against Hulk. Recently we have also witnessed Sam Wilson’s Captain America go toe to toe with a similar enemy in US President Thaddeus Ross’ Red Hulk duo fights in the final act of Captain America: Brave New World.
Given their respective forces, a Spider-Man Versus Hulk match could be interesting, but do we really want to see another superhero brawl with Banner’s Superhuman alias? I certainly don’t.
There are several Spider-Man villains that deserve to show up in his next movie. Actually three are allegedly set to appear in Brand new day. That’s before you look at other members of his Rogues gallery that are jammed to play, such as losing negative, Silver Sable and Tarantula. Unless Spidey joins Hulk to defeat this collection of villains, what purpose would it serve to include the wild hulk page of Banner’s persona as another ‘bad guy’ to web sounds to handle?
Of course, this is all speculation at this point so we will have to wait until the filming is underway (it is expected to start in August) to see if Ruffalo is stained on one of Brand new days set. If Banner shows up in Spider-Man 4I really hope it is not in a new adviser capacity or as an antagonistic figure because MCU has to take some creative steps forward and not look back on what has worked before. So Marvel and Sony, leaning into the ‘new’ aspect of Brand new day‘s title, please.
