When the Spotify added the Create button to the navigation bar in the app, it was very poorly received and music fans asked to have it removed, mainly because it destroys muscle memory. Now it seems that Spotify is listening to these complaints.
A few weeks back, Android Authority reported that Spotify could release a new rocker environment that allows you to remove the Create button from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. This was originally speculation, but now a number of users have shared photos on Reddit showing a new tilt under “Display Preferences” head in Spotify’s settings. However, not everyone has access to it yet – even included.
While Spotify has not published an official message, the online discourse suggests that the music flow service could roll it out gradually as a handful of users already have access. Despite the absence of the new feature in my app, the Create button has disappeared from my interface (see below). This was confusing, so I went to Reddit to see what others had to say.
Is this the end of one of Spotify’s most annoying features?
What do we know so far? Despite the fact that Spotify is silent on the case, evidence of Reddit reveals that this feature is slowly joining the Ecosystem settings for some Spotify users. The post below reveals this, which shows the new feature that sits in the ‘Content and Display’ section in Settings under ‘Display Preferences’.

But why should the Spotify Remove Remove button Create from my app without giving me access to deactivated rocker? From the answers I received, it suggests that a new Spotify update could be on the way.
Right now I use version 9.0.64, as the App Store says is the latest. Although this is the case for many people here at Techradar, most of the people on the team still see the Create button in the navigation bar, which is not the case for me. When
If you are still waiting to access the new feature, I have been asked to wait another day or two before I expect its arrival, so far, that’s what I roll with. In the meantime, we have reached Spotify for confirmation and will update this story if we hear back.
