Good news, colleagues in light: Square Enix has just announced the official dates of Final Fantasy 14’s Fan Festival 2026.
In the event that you are new to the popular MMORPG or are generally unknown, the fan festival (usually abbreviated to ‘fan party’) Final Fantasy 14. You can usually expect game-related challenges, musical performances, cosplay competitions and the like.
More importantly, however, develops Creative Studio 3 – including wastage director Naoki Yoshida – typically the first details of Final Fantasy 14’s Next extension at fan party. So whether you go personally or not, you will definitely put in if you are a fan of the game.
The first of next year’s fanfest events will take place in the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, USA, On April 24, 2026. The other is three months later at the Messe Berlin, Germany, the July 25. Finally, Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe host the last of three fan parties at 31 October. Spooky!

Typically a two-day event reveals each fan party gradually more information about Final Fantasy 14’s upcoming expansion. If next year’s events follow similar patterns, we can expect a preliminary info and a title fall on the US Convention. More detailed info, including new areas, jobs (read: classes), extended trailers and release date, will then be revealed at European and Japanese-based events.
While we don’t know the next extension’s official release date for a while we can speculate based on Tokyo’s Dawntrail Fan party, to the game’s current big expansion. It took place on January 7, 2024, when the expansion launched about six months later on July 2nd.
With the next Tokyo Fan Party, which is released on October 31 – November 1st, there are some concerns among the fanbase that we might not get to play Final Fantasy 14’s Next extension until mid -2027. It would be a terrible long time to wait, so hopefully we can expect to play it a little earlier than what we might think.
