When we reviewed the status between 3an’s earplugs, we said they came very close to greatness: Their noise cancellation was unique, the sound quality was excellent and the experience was only destroyed by a few minor problems. So we’re pretty stook to see that status teases its “most advanced earplugs yet”, Status Pro X.
According to Status Audio, the new Pro X delivers a bold development in design, comfort and acoustic architecture “with a significantly smaller design, a more ergonomic fit and advanced performance. And early birds will be able to get them with a discount prior to the full launch on September 16-the full price is $ 299 / £ 272 / AU $ 470, but the pre-order agreement is $ 249 / £ 227 / AU $ 391.
Status Audio Pro X earplugs: Features, Pricing and Availability
The Pro X ear plugs have a hybrid triple driver system that includes a 12mm dynamic driver and double -known balanced anchor drivers. There is Bluetooth 5.3 with Bluetooth Le Audio and Auracast -Support, and they are Hi Res Wireless Audio certified using LDAC and LC3 codecs.
The noise cancellation is hybrid ANC with an adjustable transparency mode and the MICs are with AI-driven speech improvement to keep you ready in calls.
The buds have multipoint connection with both Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, and they are IP55 -rated for dust and water resistance, which is better than most of the best earplugs, so we are impressed there.
The life of the battery is a promised eight hours from the buds plus another 24 hours via the charging case.
In our review of status between 3anc, we said that with a few improvements – slightly more detailed in the sound, a little polish for the overall experience – they could be great. If Status Pro X delivers on this, they will be very exciting earplugs.
