Pittsburgh Steelers Kick Returns Kaleb Johnson suffered an unlucky boom during the team’s match against Seattle Seahawks Sunday afternoon.

Seahawks Kicker Jason Myers kicked the ball to Steelers after taking the lead in a field goal in the fourth quarter. Johnson did not field the ball, and instead let it jump into the final zone. Seahawks players ran down the final zone and restored the ball for a touchdown.

Seattle expanded their lead in what is likely to be the easiest touchdown they score throughout the year.

Steelers kicked a field goal on their next drive, but it was the Seahawks who ran back Kenneth Walker III who hit the dagger with a 19-yard touchdown race.

Seattle won the game, 31-17.

“I just made a mistake,” Johnson told journalists after the game via ESPN. “Must stick to it, move on and just keep getting better every day.”

Steeler’s head coach Mike Tomlin chalk it up to “poor judgment of a young player.”

Pittsburgh chose Johnson in the third round of the draft of Iowa. He received a rushing attempt against the New York Jets last week. He did not get a touch of offense against Seahawks.

“I just have to get better every day,” Johnson added. “That’s all. That’s all I have to say about this. … I just have to go in there every day now, and just work my hardest, now even more with a chip on my shoulder.”

The NFL-Kickoff rules say that any ball that kicked in the landing zone between the 20-yard line and the goal line must be returned or reduced unless it is a living ball. Johnson refused to say if he knew the rule.

Seattles George Holani was credited with touchdown.
