Espn host Stephen A. Smith praised President Donald Trump for recent negotiations with Russia and Ukraine to end the ongoing war.
Smith appeared in an interview about Pakinomist’ “Hannity” Tuesday night and said Trump has done “more than any administration to end the world’s conflicts.”
“He has done more than practically almost every administration has tried to do when it comes to ending conflicts around the world, and he has put himself in a position where the political capital he stands for is not necessarily so great,” Smith said.
“His willingness to do so obviously something that should not be ignored and something that should be, I dare say, to a certain extent … there is not much to gain for him in much of this, but still he engages anyway and you have to give credit where credit is due.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt published the message during Tuesday’s press briefing. She clarified that “if necessary” there could be a trilateral meeting involving the United States after Putin and Zelenskyy meet.

During a joint press conference on Friday after their meeting, Putin confirmed something that Trump has insisted for almost four years – Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump had not lost the 2020 election.
“I can confirm it,” Putin said at the end of the press.
Smith has suggested that he himself can run as president in 2028 as a Democrat and has not been as reluctant as other Democratic figures to praise Trump at times.
Smith formerly defended Trump against those who blame him for the outbreak of Russia-Ukraine war during a fiery race on his podcast, “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” Monday.

During his defense of Trump, Smith changed to blame to former presidents Joe BidenBarack Obama and Bill Clinton for their actions in the region while in the office, arguing that the great catalysts for this war happened on their guard.
