- Stranger Things Season 5’s multiple release dates have been revealed
- It arrives in three parts between the end of November and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day
- Netflix hopes it will be the biggest festive TV -Hit in 2025
Good news, everyone! Stranger Things Season 5’s release date has finally been revealed. Unfortunately, you will have to fine -tune your 2025 -holiday season plans if you want to stream it as soon as it arrives.
We already knew Stranger Things 5 was set to be released in 2025 and according to a larger online leakage it was hinted at Stranger Things‘Final season would arrive in November. It turned out to be partly true.
With advertised at the end of Netflix Tudum 2025, The Smash Hit Shows last season on the world’s best streaming service in not one, not two, but three share. This is the first time that Netflix has chosen to release a new series or the latest season of one of its television originals on three separate dates.
As the above Instagram post confirms, Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 will be released on November 26 at 1 p.m. 17.00 PT / 20:00 one in the United States. It is the first of three American holidays that the incredibly popular Netflix series’ last chapter also lands on – in fact, Thanksgiving 2025 in the United States will take place on November 27.
Netflix hopes Volume 1, which includes four episodes, will be the most viewed TV show over the American Thanksgiving weekend.
However, it is not the only big holiday that Netflix is targeting. Volume 2 of Stranger Things 5that contains three episodes, debuting on Christmas Day (alias 25 December) at. 17.00 PT / 20:00 one in the United States.
Finally the last ever episode (alias Volume 3) of Stranger Things will hit the service on New Year’s Eve (December 31) in the US at the same time the Season 5’s other installments must be released.
Why Stranger Things 5’s Release Format Will Turn People’s Holiday Season Plans upside down
I fully understand why Netflix drops new episodes this way. Streaming Titan wants the last season of one of its most successful series to dominate the TV landscape. It therefore makes sense to release the upcoming season eight episodes, all of which are movie length according to Stranger Things Star Maya Hawke, at a time when people will have plenty of downtime during the festive season.
However, the problem I have with this release format is that it will turn many people’s festive plans * ahem * upside down.
For example, take me. I live in Britain and in view of the eight -hour time difference between US Pacific Time Zone and Britain’s, new rates of Stranger Things 5 Do not land on the platform before 7 p.m. 1.
This means that together with many other British fans, I will have a very late night if we stop to see new episodes as soon as they arrive. If we do not, we are facing the prospect of having to avoid larger spoilers online or from family and friends who may have seen the latest episodes ahead of us.

The same goes for fans in other European nations, the Middle East, Asia and countries such as Australia and New Zealand.
Stranger Things Season 5’s final may be shipped in the US at 1 p.m. 17 PT / 20:00 on December 31, so American viewers have the chance to stream it before they welcome in 2026. Many of us, however, will not have that opportunity.
Do we map our New Year’s Eve plans with family and/or friends to go home and stream it right away to avoid spoilers? Or are we calling in 2026, staying away from social media until we see it, and then streaming one of the best Netflix shows’ last episode potentially with an almighty hangover?
I get out of the fact that the world’s different time zones mean that someone will be unhappy about quitting late or getting up early if they want to watch their favorite shows new season ASAP. Nevertheless, Season 5’s release structure combined with the unusual times that new episodes will broadcast – Netflix usually new shows and/or seasons at. 12.00 PT – one, yes, weird thing to do.
I guess I’ll stay on social media (and the liquor!) During the Christmas holidays until I find time to stream season 5’s final four episodes.
