Deputy Commissioner (DC) IMRAN Ali was chairman of a meeting of the District Peace Committee (DPC) on Monday and discussed events to maintain law and order during the Holy Month of Muharram.
Further Deputy Commissioner Salmun Ayub, DPC’s member and officials in other affected departments attended the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner said that fool -proof events to maintain peace during the holy month was the priority of the district administration, adding that all available resources would be used in that regard.
He urged people to belong to all thinking schools to cooperate with the administration to observe peaceful ashura.
Deputy Commissioner instructed to make the fool -proof security of public assembly (Majalis) and the routes of grief processes.
He said that suggestions from religious scholars would be prioritized to maintain peace during the holy month that adding control rooms would be established at Tehsil levels in that regard.
The Deputy Commissioner pointed out Majalis and the processes of the processions would be monitored through CCTV Camaras.
